KHKstock spiral miter and spiral bevel gears provide smoother running and a larger transmission torque than conventional types. In order to ensure higher accuracy Gleason (U.S.) No. 108 hypoid generator are employed. Teeth are generated by the Gleason system to have a pressure angle of 20?, a spiral angle of 35? with left hand pinions and right hand gears. Accordingly, the direction of rotation of the pinion is left hand, seen facing the pinion.
  All tooth surfaces are induction hardened to shore hardness65~70. The mounting distance is the same as stock bevel gears.
