| New and improved heat-transfer foils with brushed-metal finish are aimed at automotive and electronics. Unveiled at the K 2007 show by the German parent of Kurz Transfer Products, Charlotte, N.C., they expand the company's Solid-Brushed Chrome line of hot-stamping foils that provide light, weather, and corrosion resistance for outdoor applications. For automotive applications, Kurz has developed vacuum formable grades (including deep-draw types) that can be tailored for hot stamping, in-mold decoration, or insert molding. Solid Brushed Chrome comes in four colors: stainless steel, nickel, antique gold, and copper. Enhanced non-conductive brushed foils are also new from Kurz. With electrical resistance of up to 1012 ohm, these foils are tailored to the requirements of manufacturers of home electronics. Such foils can be produced for all of Kurz's Brushed and Solid Brushed family of metallic products.nbsp; |
