Heavy-Duty Shredders from Cumberland Engineering

    A new generation of rugged single-shaft shredders can handle large purging, fibers, carpets, and other heavy-duty waste. CXS 1500, 2000, and 3000 shredders from Cumberland Engineering, S. Attleboro, Mass., range in feed-opening size from 100 x 63 in. to 100 x 111 in. They offer a choice of three rotor types for different applications. Each rotor type has 60-mm square cutters, a 750-mm-diam. rotor, outboard bearings, space saving “swing-style” ram, and serrated ram plates that hold materials against the rotor.
